The winner of the Best Cheesecake in Joburg award goes to Salvation Café, a quaint coffee shop situated at 44 Stanley in Milpark.

The announcement was made by Anele Mdoda and Frankie from Anele and the Club on 947.

After a week of tasting various cheesecakes from bakeries, cafes, and coffee shops from all around Gauteng, the finalists were narrowed down to five establishments that made it into the final.

Salvation Café takes the 'Best Cheesecake in Joburg' award

They came in as the first-ever duo to take on The Masked Singer South Africa and from the moment Sheep hit that stage, Mzansi was hooked. The performances had the energy, the rhymes were always on point, and the clues had our detectives going in completely different directions.

And when it was finally time to take the masks off, the guesses came flying! Somizi went with hip-hop couple Reason and Gigi Lamayne, while Sithelo and Skhumba had their own theories. Zee Nxumalo was convinced we were looking at Amapiano power couple Pabi Cooper and Focalistic.

But there was ONE detective who cracked the case J’Something, who correctly guessed Simphiwe Ngema and Tino Chinyani! So, the first-ever Masked Singer SA duo is officially unmasked… and judging by the reactions from J’Something and Somizi, it was definitely a little bittersweet.

And if you’ve somehow managed to miss the madness, The Masked Singer South Africa Season 3 is on SABC 2 every Saturday at 19:00, with repeats on SABC 1 on Thursdays at 21:00 and SABC 2 on Fridays at 13:30. You can also watch the latest season on SABC+.

Alakhe had a bit of a school emergency last week, he tore his pants at school and needed his mom, Anele, to bring him a new pair. So, naturally, he called his mom and got the rescue mission underway.

But that got Anele thinking about how different things were back in the day. Because if you were a kid and found yourself in a situation like that with no airtime, you couldn’t just pick up your phone and call your parents like Alakhe did.

You had to make a reverse call basically calling someone and asking them to accept the charges so that THEY pay for the call.
