Monday is the last day before the 2026 matric final exams officially begin. From Tuesday, 13 October, thousands of learners will be sitting down to write papers that they have spent years working towards.

And if you're a matriculant, you probably don't need anyone to tell you that the pressure is real. You're trying to remember everything you've studied, you're worried about whether you've done enough, you're thinking about what happens after matric, and perhaps you're also carrying the expectations of your family.

But here's the thing: studying harder isn't always the answer. You also need to know how to manage the pressure, look after yourself and make the most of the preparation you've already done.

So today, we're looking at matric from three different angles: the academic side, the mental and emotional side, and the physical side. How do you prepare effectively?

Hang out with Anele and The Club on 947 every weekday morning.
