Alakhe had a bit of a school emergency last week, he tore his pants at school and needed his mom, Anele, to bring him a new pair. So, naturally, he called his mom and got the rescue mission underway.

But that got Anele thinking about how different things were back in the day. Because if you were a kid and found yourself in a situation like that with no airtime, you couldn’t just pick up your phone and call your parents like Alakhe did.

You had to make a reverse call basically calling someone and asking them to accept the charges so that THEY pay for the call.
