Born in KwaZulu-Natal, Nokx has built an impressive international career, spending 11 years at London’s acclaimed Rosewood London, where she became Head Pie Maker and Senior Chef. She was also named one of Jay Rayner’s Rising Stars in 2022.

Now she’s celebrating the release of her debut cookbook, The South African Cookbook, which features 90 recipes inspired by the flavours, food and memories of home, from bunny chow and bobotie to melktert and boerewors rolls.

And she’s been busy bringing the book to life in South Africa. This week she returned to KZN for a four-hands dinner with Chef Johannes Richter at The LivingRoom at Summerhill, followed by her Johannesburg book launch at Exclusive Books Rosebank with The Lazy Makoti.

She’ll then head to Cape Town for a Women’s Month lunch and book launch with Studio H and Hannerie Visser, before another four-hands dinner with Chef Wesli Charls at Cape Grace later this month.
