Jacoby Shaddix & Chris DaughtryLyndsey Marie catches up with Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach) and Chris Daughtry (Daughtry) to talk about the 35th Annual Lifesaver's Gala in New York City, hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
Jacoby is this year's honoree for the Public Education Lifesaver Award, presented by none other than Chris Daughtry himself.
Papa Roach has been a vocal force for mental health awareness. They've donated royalties from their single "Leave A Light On" and a portion of their tour proceeds with Shinedown to the AFSP.
Daughtry's music also tackles these important issues. His recent hit, "Pieces," which follows his chart-topping rock single "Artificial," explores themes of loss, resilience, and overcoming darkness. These lyrics hold deep personal meaning for Daughtry, who wrote the song after experiencing the tragic loss of both his mother and daughter within a short timeframe.
