The United Way’s Annual Day of Caring is happening this Thursday, August 6th, where thousands of volunteers fan out around Central New York to help non profits with different kinds of volunteer efforts in hopes that it will inspire many to volunteer year round. Katie Hanlon is the United Way of Central New York’s Chief Community Officer and she explains more what Day of Caring is all about.
One of the non profit organizations that is taking part in Day of Caring is Loretto Health and Rehabilitation, specifically at their complex called “The Bernadine”. Julie Sheedy is Loretto’s Chief Marketing and Engagement Officer.

Hospice of Central New York and Hospice of the Finger Lakes is holding their annual unique fundraiser called “A Film On the Field” at NBT Bank Stadium on Thursday August 13th.
