Vanisha Brown survived a suicide attempt and that is why she is so passionate about sharing her story and helping others to get through and survive a dark time in their lives. She is one of the main organizers behind the first ever Black Mental Health and Wellness Fair which is happening on Saturday, July 20th in Clinton Square and she talks about why this is such an important cause. The Tom Dooley Choraliers were founded in 1962 and since then have been spreading great music and raising money for tremendous causes right here in Central New York. They are teaming up this year once again with the St. Patrick Hunger Project to raise money to feed the hungry in this area. The Salvation Army of Syracuse just finished up a very successful three-on-three basketball tournament, raising money to keep their many programs and services going strong. Marett Seymour is Program Supervisor for Barnabas Outreach Program Youth Services. Michele Cunningham is the Early Head Start Manager and part of the Early Childhood Education Program.
