Street Talk airing weekend of 5/29/2026

The Strides for Sight 5K to benefit Aurora of Central New York is happening on June 27th at the Willow Bay area of Onondaga Lake Park. Aurora of CNY is an organization that supports individuals who are blind, visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing. Kate Weidman is their Executive Director and she fills us in on this long running non-profit that has served the area for over one hundred years. The Mrs. New York America Pageant is being held all this weekend in Rochester. Representing Mrs. Syracuse in the pageant is Dr. Erica Miller who is a former teacher and principal. Her platform is Empowering Educators, Improving Education and she talks about why she made herself get out of her comfort zone in order to take part in this pageant.
