Street Talk airing weekend of 5/22/2026
The fifth Annual Legs Against Lyme Walk with the Central New York Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Alliance is being held on Saturday, May 30th at Long Branch Park beginning at 10 am. Jonah Cummings is their Education Coordinator and he says unfortunately, tick born illnesses never sleep. Sign up today for the May 30th Walk at http://CNYLymeAlliance.org
May is obviously a month to celebrate mothers everywhere, and that’s the reason why the CNY Diaper Bank is celebrating ten years of making an impact in the area. They are hosting Make A Mother’s Day Diaper Drive all month to provide low income families in the area and make an even bigger impact. Michela Hugo is founder. As Michela said, all this month, monetary donations will be matched by The John Ben Snow Foundation and Memorial Trust up to 10,000 dollars. Make your donation now at http://CNYDiaperBank.org/donate-diapers
May is also Foster Care Awareness Month, a time to recognize foster parents, raise awareness about the needs of children in care, and encourage more community members to learn about fostering. Dawn Frontuto is a Home Finder for Together for Youth that works to provide foster families for the Central New York community.
