Locally, Vera House is the area’s nonprofit organization that works to end domestic and sexual violence. They are holding their annual White Ribbon campaign all month and this year’s Honorary Chairman is SU Head Football Coach Fran Brown. Earth Day Cleanup with the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency is coming up at the end of this month! Again the deadline for registering for the OCRRA Cleanup on April 24th and 25th is this Tuesday April 14th so go to OCRAA.org to register. And for another week, that gives us a great opportunity to talk about that along with all things OCRRA this week with their Public Information officer Tammy Palmer, including a brand new feature to ask Alexa what goes in your blue bin. There is a brand new Menopause Clinic that has open at St. Joseph’s Health and one of only three local doctors certified by the Menopause Society of America is running it. Her name is Dr. Madison Healy and she tells us more about why this clinic is important. See more at http://SJHsyr.org 

Meals on Wheels of Syracuse needs your help. They are moving into a bigger location and that means they need volunteers not only for deliveries but for kitchen help as well.  Christopher Sackett is head of Logistics and Operations for Meals On Wheels of Syracuse.
