Street Talk airing weekend of 8/15/2025 Friends Forever Animal Rescue is the beneficiary of this year’s Maverick Jameson’s Shelter Donation Party held in memory of a beloved dog owned by local couple Deanna and Fred Reed. They decided to turn their grief into collecting items for local animal organizations and for the last three years, their collections have become more and more successful. This year, they’re holding an event open to the public at the PressRoom Pub on September 13th. Both Deanna and Fred talk about how this all came to be. The CNY Scottish Games and Celtic Festival is happening at Long Branch Park in Liverpool on Saturday August 9th. The Museum of Science and Technology in Armory Square is debuting a brand new exhibit beginning on March 29th. It’s called Onondaga Grown presents GROW and it focuses on agricultural science and food systems in Central New York.
