Dear Ted and Amy,
I’m a newlywed, and I knew when I married my wife, I also married her dog for life. Who I love. But this dog is old and is a breed that has a million health problems. We recently started talking about what happens when he eventually passes, and my wife immediately says, “We’re getting another (dog of this breed). It’s all I’ve ever had and all I want.”I’m like, “Does my opinion matter?!” I want a Lab or a retriever! And what happens when we have kids? Is this breed going to be the best choice for them?Her solution is that we can always get two dogs. NO! I don’t want two dogs! I want ONE dog that we both agree on!Shouldn’t I get an equal vote on the next family dog?
