It's Group Therapy Thursday day!

Dear Ted and Amy,
I just purchased a family photography session from a local photographer. Upon check out there is a prompt to add a tip. Is it customary to tip a photographer? If so, am I obligated? I feel this session was already pricey and this business is a one person operation, the fees go directly to the photographer. The package is $375 for a 20 minute session that includes 6 digital edits. I think this business has a great reputation however adding on to the already high price seems like too much to me. Tip or no tip?

It's Group Therapy Thursday!

Dear Ted and Amy,
I married into a big family and we always have a huge Thanksgiving gathering at my mother-in-law’s house. My wife has always told me that her mother never really liked the guys that she dated . . . until they broke up. And then she still wanted them hanging around. In fact, for years, my mother-in-law has continued to invite a couple of my wife’s exes to share Thanksgiving dinner with us! The ones who come are friends with some of my wife’s siblings, so that’s how they still manage to get an invite. It’s not like I’m paranoid that she’s going to go back to one of them after seeing them over the cranberries but I feel like it’s kind of disrespectful of my mother-in-law to not recognize this could be a bit awkward for her daughter’s current husband. Should I just accept that we’ve all had past relationships and just because they’re not together anymore, they are still friends of the family? Or should I tell her that I would appreciate it if she keeps in touch with my wife’s exes when I’m not around?

 November Makeover – Donna

I went through lung cancer a few years ago and lost all my hair. I’m doing the best I can with all of my health issues. My body has taken a toll with everything. I haven't gone anywhere or done anything for myself in long time. I would really love to go and get pampered for the day as I could really use it.
