It's Group Therapy Thursday time!
Dear Ted and Amy,
My husband is getting kind of perturbed with me because I am selling everything on Facebook Marketplace. It started off with some furniture and I got hooked. So now I sell old decorations, kitchen stuff, clothes, toys – if it’s in the house and we don’t need it, I’m listing them all for five, ten, fifteen dollars.
My husband says it’s a waste of time. With the time I spend taking photos, messaging people, dealing with no shows, and porch pickups, he says I’m working a part time job that doesn’t pay well at all. And I think he’s also worried that I’ll run into some sketchy people and either get hurt or robbed.
I get it – but it’s turning into one of my passions and makes me feel productive. And all of the money adds up!
He says that I can just keep a running pile and when enough accumulates, I should just donate it. Is it dumb to keep going? Is there anyone else that enjoys Facebook Marketplace just for the sport?
Signed,
Hooked in Homer
