Falcons Coach Dan Quinn: "Pumped" to Have Devonta Freeman Back at Practice
Falcons Head Coach Dan Quinn joined John and Hugh to talk about the team’s preparation for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Coach Quinn said the Vikings defense is a really good tackling team, and rarely miss. He singles out Griffin as being a really good rusher and can really get after it. Injury wise, Dan Quinn said Devonta Freeman has cleared concussion protocol and will be back practicing today (Wednesday). Meanwhile, Brian Poole will be limited at practice, and Desmond Trufant remains in concussion protocol. Coach Quinn stresses the importance of fans being at the Benz early and be loud; they play even harder for them. “We should have the best environment.” Offensively, he credits the offense for attacking it every day at practice, and that’s why you’re seeing the continued improvement. They’ve been putting the No. 1’s against No. 1’s in practice until they get it right. Dan Quinn also said they’re confident in Matt Ryan’s ability as a quarterback and want him in that spot 99.9% of the time, but there are still a few opportunities they could put it back in Mohamed Sanu’s hands.
