Moon Fever was the second band to hang out with us in studio on Thursday, coming all the way from Seattle. The guys played several acoustic tracks including their new single, "Bury Me." Be sure to check out the full acoustic performance and interview!

We had two bands join us in the WQLZ studio on Thursday with Dead Sugar and Moon Fever coming by. The first band we welcomed in was Dead Sugar who played a couple acoustic tracks for us with "Coma" and "Inland (The Prey)." The band also shared more about their upcoming debut album and more music plans. 

A big thanks to drummer Paul Crosby (formerly of Saliva) of Coldwards for calling into the studio this afternoon. The guys are putting out a brand-new single tomorrow called "Life In The Rearview". A big thanks to Amanda of  @EvaUnderFire  for joining the WQLZ Green Room today while she was on vacation! We talked about their new single, "Villainous", working with Maria Brink, doing her own music video stunts and more.

A big thanks to the guys in Magnolia Park for stopping by this morning before their show in Bloomington tonight! The guys discussed the interesting backstory about their new single, "Shallow" and where they found the inspiration for it. They also talked about playing haunted venues, their current tour and gave us an acoustic performance of "Shallow."

A big thanks to Kacey of Pinknoise for joining me in the studio this afternoon. The band will be playing The Castle Theatre in Bloomington on Friday night (4/10). Be sure to check out the entire interview and their acoustic performance!

A big thanks to the guys in The Nocturnal Affair for joining us in studio this afternoon for an interview and acoustic set. The guys played their hit, "Cross Me Out" as well as their brand-new track "Oxygen" which you can only hear on radio through April 16th. Check out the acoustic set, Ryan not knowing their keyboard was motion activated, what's coming up for the band and more!

Musician and Springfield native James Bruner called in this morning to join me on the morning show. James, who currently lives in Nashville, will be playing a free, hometown show tomorrow night (February 27th), at the VFW 755. We talked about the show, moving to Nashville, upcoming music and more.

Last week, drummer Brady Hearn of Saturns Downfall joined the WQLZ Green Room to talk about several new singles from the band including their brand-new song, "Ready To Go." We also talked about Brady being in a band with his dad, finding the band's sound and more.

A big thanks to Zahna for joining the WQLZ Green Room for the first time earlier this month. She has a new song out called "Defiler" that features Brian "Head" Welch of Korn. We talked about what it was like to work with him, upcoming music, overcoming adversity and much more.

The Aranda Brothers (Dameon and Gabe) joined the WQLZ Green Room earlier this month to talk about their new single, "You Don't Wanna Know." The guys also talked football with Ryan as well as a new album coming out in May called "Are You Not Entertained" (no it wasn't inspired by Gladiator).

Jordan Schmidt of Freezemachine was the first person to join us in the WQLZ Green Room for 2026. We talked about the band's new single, 'New Life", upcoming music plans and a lot more.
