New Mets manager Carlos Mendoza has spent almost 30 years in baseball, finally he's at the pinnicle of the mountain - manager in the big leagues and in the number one baseball city in the world.

Mendoza knows that the expectectations are high and he has high goals for the new season and beyond. He knows what it's like having spent over a decade with the Yankees in New york. Mendoza came from Venezeula and had to overcome language and more to get to this level of baseball, and all of these experiences made him who he is today. This makes him feel like he can relate and help the younger Latin players who are following his path. Mets broadcaster Keith Raad spoke with him one on one after his introductory press conference at CitiField on Tuesday.
