The annual Stawell Gift handicap race was delayed due to Victoria's severe thunderstorms. Olympian Peter Bol finished a soggy second in the 1000 metres as he desperately tried to catch Riley Bryce. Jack Lacey took out the men's 100-metre final by an inch and beach sprinter Chloe Mannix-Power won the women's 100-metre.
