Rajwinder Singh has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 25 years for the 2018 murder of Toyah Cordingley on Wangetti Beach in far north Queensland. Singh fled to India the day after the murder and remained in hiding for four years before being extradited back to Queensland in 2022 following an international manhunt and million-dollar bounty. Justice Lincoln Crowley increased the standard non-parole period from 20 to 25 years, citing Singh's decision to flee and showing no remorse as key factors in the sentencing.
