Tarot cards and crystal ball seized in Sydney raid

Police are used to seizing strange items but it's not often tarot cards and a crystal ball are taken as evidence. That's what happened during a raid in Sydney's southwest when a woman was arrested and accused of being involved in a psychic scam.

As an alleged member of a group of so called psychics, Tina Montana should have foreseen this, but her fortunes ran out. Today, the forty eight year old arrested accused of money laundering for a criminal syndicate posing as clairvoyance. Why was your client in possession of a crystal ball? That ball and tarot cards seized as Montana was taken into custody. According to police, she isn't the psychic, but her sister's sidekick, who is accused of offering spiritual services before scamming her clients.

These offennas were claiming to be psychics and using obviously that guys to obviously elicit funds and propery from the victims.

Montana allegedly tried to clean the group's cash by buying a gold bullion worth almost fifty five thousand dollars and smuggling it out of the country to the UK, Her sister and her brother in law. Tina Montana will remain behind bars. A magistrate today found she was a flight risk and refused her application for bail. Police are predicting more arrests.

Member of the community believes that they are a victim of a scam. In all potential scheme involving a psychic, they should report matters to police.
