Sussan Ley fights to survive Coalition collapse

View descriptionShare
Sussan Ley is fighting to retain her position as Opposition Leader after the Coalition split for the second time in eight months. Nationals leader David Littleproud pulled his party from the Coalition after Ley accepted the resignations of three National senators who voted against the Federal Government's hate speech laws. The entire National Party frontbench has resigned, with Littleproud stating the Nationals will not return to a Coalition led by Ley, leaving her with 10 days until the next party room meeting on February 3 to convince Liberal colleagues she should remain in the role.
