The impact of the New Orleans terror attack has now reached the British Royals with news one of the victims had close personal links to the family. Edward Petiffer was the stepson of a long-time Royal staff member even attending the wedding of Harry and Meghan.

In twenty eighteen, the Pedipher family shared in the joy of a royal marriage. Ed seen at the back walking into the chapel a head of Prince Harry and Megan Mikel's wedding. Now the Royal family is sharing in the grief of his loss. The thirty one year old confirmed among the victims of the New Orleans terror attack. He is the step son of Tiggy Pedipher, a former nanny to William and Harry.
It's significant in that there is a closeness. There's still a closeness because Ticky played a very important part in William and Harry's life.
After being informed of the death, William released a statement saying, Catherine and I have been shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Ed Pettipher. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family. The Palace said. The King too had been deeply saddened when he heard the news and personally reached out to Tiggy's family.
She was there again when their mother died in ninety nine ninety seven, again as a companion so very important to the Royal family and particularly important to the King.
Ed was one of fourteen victims of the New Year's Day attack, his family saying he was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew and a friend to so many. We will all miss him terribly.
