The 88-year-old will make his first public appearance in 5 weeks.

Good morning. Pope Francis's doctors have announced the Pontiff will we discharged from hospital tomorrow. You correspondent Jacqueline Robson's live in London for US this morning. Jacqueline, it's great news.

Yes, Sally, this was the update. Catholics around the world. We're praying for a major development for Pope Francis, who is now healthy and stable enough to be released or discharged from hospital and returned to the Vatican. Doctors say the eighty eight year old went through two very critical episodes during his six weeks in hospital, in which the Pontiff's life was in danger. They say pharmacological therapies, high flow oxygen and non invasive medical ventilation helped slowly bring him back to health. Now, he was due to wave and offer a blessing to supporters from Jamelli Hospital in Rome tomorrow. It's unclear if that will still happen. He is set for at least another two months of rest and recovery, as well as more therapies for some time. Let's take a listen to the latest update.

The Holy Father will be the charger tomorrow, as we said before, in a stable pinicle condition with a prescription to partially continue JAG therapy and the convalescence and rest period at least two months.

Now. This comes ahead of a very busy schedule for Pope Francis. In April, King Charles and Queen Camilla due to do a state visit around Italy, and it was expected that they would meet Pope Francis, and then there's Easter. The Vatican says it's yet to decide who will leave that busy schedule, but with doctors ordering the pontiff rest and recovery for the next two months, it could rule him out for that. Sally
