Human remains were discovered by tradespeople excavating a backyard at a holiday home in Silverleaves, Phillip Island. The workers found bones, including a skull, 50 centimetres underground while digging a trench to replace a sewer pipe in Hazelwood Court. The homicide squad is investigating, with forensic testing to determine whether the remains are from an Indigenous burial or linked to a suspicious death, including the unsolved 1986 disappearance of Phillip Island resident Vivienne Cameron.
