Sunrise Reporter Katie Brown has broken down on Monday as she recounted the moment gunmen opened fire on Bondi Beach.
Brown saying she was walking along the beach after an evening surf when two men wearing black opened fire from atop a footbridge behind the surf club.
Initially, she thought the gunshots were fireworks. It was the “screams and faces of pure terror”, she said, that made it clear to Brown and her friend what was actually happening.
