Flash flood warnings remain active for parts of Queensland and northern New South Wales after the Gold Coast received over 200 millimetres of rain within hours. The deluge caused road flooding, overflowing causeways, and inundation of low-lying areas, with some backwater regions near Springbrook and Narang recording close to 300 millimetres. The weather system has now shifted north towards the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay Burnett region, with further rainfall forecast.
