Brie is bruised but brave after her boyfriend took everything from her.
He's taken my pride, my teeth, you know you like.
My self esteem.

No remorse, no remorse whatsoever.
The twenty nine year olds abuser was arrested, only to be released by the courts on bail.
So many times he had briefed him not lockdown, not locked like, I just felt helpless.
There was over two hundred messages from him deal trying to find out where I was.
He was supposed to be on home detention, but it was Brie who couldn't leave the house. She wasso terrified. If it wasn't for her family, she says she may have given up. Jake Anderson was this month's sentenced to five years behind bars. This is one of the longest sentences handed out by the Madrast's courts for a domestic violence assault. It means bree is protected while her abuser is in prison, but not all women walk outs of courts feeling the same.
We often hear from women that the process of going through court and seeking some level of protection is not worth it. They feel like they're the ones on trial.
Breeze still struggles to sleep, but now she's on the other side with an important message for survivors.
You deserve to be treated with respect and kindness. It's okay to seek help and start a new chapter.
In your life.
