A southwest Sydney family is urging people to stay on top of their health after their sister Helen Bettison died unexpectedly at work aged just 44, leaving behind three children.

Cheerful and fun loving. Helen Betterson was the big kid of the family.

I can hear her laugh on her I consider.

Someone the Western Sydney chef was raising her three children on her own. But last week she died suddenly at work.

Shouldn't have much and those kids don't have much, and who at that.

Moment we had to break the news to them, will always live in my heart and shudder me.

It's perfectly healthy forty four year old to you one day and she call the next.

Helen's siblings are now raising money to help pay for her funeral and support her children.

It takes a village to raise a family, and that's what we're going to be for those kids.

Helen was on blood pressure medication, but her family says she otherwise appeared happy and healthy. A CT scan has now revealed her heart was enlarged and she ultimately died from a heart attack.

It may have been building up for a while and we just didn't know.

Her family now urging people if something doesn't feel right, see a doctor.

We want to advocate for these silent killers, you know, that take people's lives and take people's families every day.
