In this episode of THE NIGHTSHIFT's "WA Made" segment, Tod Johnston sits down with Pip Darvall, the co-owner of Bodhi's Bakehouse, a popular bakery located in Fremantle Western Australia.

The Sanskrit word “Bodhi” means “teacher and provider of good things” or “enlightenment”. The Bodhi tree or Bo tree is a fig, under which it is said Buddha became enlightened while meditating.

Bodhi’s Bakehouse’s philosophy of producing environmentally sound, high-quality, health-conscious products has baked and matured since 1981 and is now an established favourite, available all across WA.

Pip shares his journey with the bakery and his passion for innovating the way to bake and consume bread. He talks about how he and his team create their delicious and unique baked goods, and what sets them apart from other bakeries.

Pip also shares his insights on the challenges and rewards of owning and operating a small business in Western Australia.
