After the Banksia Hill riot on New Year’s Eve, some of those involved have been taken to cell 18 at Casuarina Prison.

However, Energy Corrective Services Minister Bill Johnston believes despite these events, Banksia Hill is in the best state it has ever been in.

Mr Johnston told 6PR Mornings violence cannot be excused.
