Police have made a 1.2 kilogram meth seizure by tracking someone riding an electric scooter via a drone.

A 32-year-old man has been charged over the significant drug deal in Perth's north. 

Commissioner Col Blanch told Gary Adshead officers were tipped off by locals after they noticed the suspicious man earlier this month. 

"With the community working with us and using our technology, we are going to arrest and identify these drug dealers and I think that's a great result," Mr Blanch said.
