Household budgets are expected to take another hit when interest rates rise again on Tuesday, on the back of massive price rises for groceries and petrol as inflation levels skyrocket.

With cost-of-living pressures showing no signs of easing, Health Services Union secretary Naomi McCrae told Gary Adshead, in for Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings, a stop-work meeting of all health services workers tomorrow regarding was in response to pay conditions in the WA state budget that don’t add up.

"It's a big deal to walk off the job, it's a very big deal to take that step, it's because of the lack of any response from the government that we're going to do it," she said.
