She told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings the meds include Ozempic, Ventolin and Ritalin, with the shortage due to 90 per cent of medication sold in Australia being imported mostly from Europe and the US, but reliant on China and India for active ingredients crucial to making them.

"It's been an ongoing situation that has worsened since the start of COVID... issues are magnified so much more in WA because all of the supply chains come through the east," she said.
