A former paramedic claims he was fired from his job at St John's on Thursday after an investigation sparked by a run-in with Fiona Stanley Hospital staff.

“Chris” became agitated with hospital staff after they refused to attend to his partner after a four-hour wait, despite her suffering chest pains. 

A week-long investigation by his employer found he was acting "aggressively" towards hospital staff.

"She was triaged as a category 3, which means we'll get to you within 30-45 minutes," he told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings.
