A radical Tourism Council of WA idea for public schools to stagger their holiday breaks according to their location north or south of the Swan River was met with some hesitance by prominent school leaders on Friday.

Principals Federation of WA president Bevan Ripp told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings the idea could benefit the state's struggling tourism sector but other factors such as regional school considerations and availability of school parents made it problematic.
