Mayor of the City of Joondalup Albert Jacob says the council is seeking further clarification about the planning commission's decision.

"We've been told by Shalom for two months that we'd be engaged and now earlier this week they start moving in and say we're not going to do that now," Mr Jacob told 6PR Mornings.

"I object to the inference that the local community put those nails there."
