The leaders of the United Workers Union and the Australian Nursing Federation have rejected the findings of a State Government report which showed household spending in Perth is the lowest across the country.

The government-commissioned report by Deloitte found the average Perth household spent around $1630 a week on goods and services as well as housing costs.

Carolyn Smith, UWU WA State Secretary, told 6PR Mornings that 'the government doesn't seem to be in tune with what's happening for workers in the public sector'.
