A controversial women's drug rehabilitation centre to be opened in Craigie in Perth's north is reportedly being targeted.

The WA planning commission has told the Joondalup council that approval isn't needed for the facility to operate, so there'll be no community consultation.

Founder of Shalom House Peter Lyndon-James says they found nails under the wheels of cars in the facilities car park. 

Mr Lyndon-James told Gary Adshead he doesn't understand the negativity towards what he's trying to do.
