New details have emerged surrounding the hypocrisy of Shalom House's women's refuge development in Craigie.

Gary Adshead revealed on 6PR Mornings that the Sister's of Mercy Catholic Church were 'absolutely delighted' that their facility was to be used for a good cause, giving Shalom House their blessing. 

However, the nearby Catholic School is still up in arms, with the school announcing that they will fit perimeter gates and update their CCTV cameras. 

"All week we've seen the McGowan government saying it's time to stop local, self indulgent nimbies from blocking developments that are good for investments and for communities," Gary Adshead said.
