6PR Mornings host Liam Bartlett, who broke the story last year after an interview with attorney-general John Quigley, said the reasons for Hillman's departure to an as-yet-determined home were unknown.

"Hillman has only lasted a year... Hillman is okay, he's still around, but the DPP has decided that that's it," Bartlett said on Thursday after replaying an interview with Quigley last year.
