Cottesloe residents will be hit with a $300 fee to put children’s play equipment on their front verges after the council unanimously voted in favour of the recommendation on Tuesday night.
The town’s Taskforce on Residential and Recreational Verge Uses met in June and suggested ratepayers who wanted to install play equipment should pay $300 to apply for a permit to do so, and then pay $100 annually.
