Former National Cyber Security Adviser to the Prime Minister’s office, Alistair MacGibbon, says he understands why nearly a thousand Chinese-made surveillance cameras were installed in various Government buildings.

"In defence of those that have installed these devices, they're cheap and they work well - it's the unintended consequences that we are only starting to unpack and understand now," Mr MacGibbon said on 6PR Mornings.
