Local business owner Darren Clark has shared his disappointment with the government's lack of inaction regarding the violence ravaging the Alice Springs community. 

Mr Clark has been pushing for change for a while, creating a Facebook group in 2020 called 'Action for Alice' however, he says the situation has become dire. 

"This is happening every night. It does not stop. It does not matter what your age or race is. Indigenous people are getting broken into - the Indigenous people of this town have had enough of this problem as well," Mr Clark told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings.

Mr Clark further said the Northern Territory government is covering up the violence in Alice Springs by 'cleaning up the streets' before Anthony Albanese touches down in their town.
