Perth and the South West have been smashed by wild weather, with flash flooding and destructive winds overnight reaching more than 100km/h. 

Thousands of homes were left in the dark as the storm rolled in, with more wild weather still on the radar for Tuesday.

The SES and DFES fielded hundred of calls for assistance, while suburbs were flooded with heavy rains and left without power, including 1700 households in and around Mundaring.
