Joesph DeRuvo Jr decided to take his shoes off about 20 years ago and never put them back on. 

The pilates instructor and barefoot enthusiast from Connecticut says his barefoot lifestyle has allowed him to live his life to the fullest.

"Being on the ground centres me, it calms my nerves. I am already kind of edgy and I am worse when I can't feel the ground," Mr DeRuvo told Millsy and Karl. 

"You're laughing it at but the fact is we walk around, we're not wearing gloves on our hands."
