WA Premier Mark McGowan has questioned the intelligence of former defence minister Peter Dutton and launched an attack on the Liberals, Clive Palmer and the national press gallery after his party’s strong federal election result on Saturday.
6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker said McGowan appeared to be relishing the Liberal Party's obliteration, while Dutton - the man in the middle of a new China storm - is set to take over Scott Morrison as party leader.
McGowan said he hoped the Albanese government would get Australia’s relationship with China on a surer footing given how heavily WA relies on the superpower for trade.
