A teacher and 14 children have died following a shooting at a Texas primary school.

An attacker reportedly acting alone opened fire at Robb Elementary School, around 135 kilometres west of San Antonio, on Tuesday afternoon.

"What's changed is the question everyone is asking today," US correspondent Amelia Adams told 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker in reference to the country's gun laws.
