The City of Rockingham council reached a 5-5 deadlock on a motion to return general waste to a weekly collection schedule.

Mayor Lorna Buchan joined Millsy & Karl on 6PR Breakfast to explain she utilised her casting vote to reject the motion, cementing the fortnightly collection to support the state's FOGO strategy.
