Increasing diesel fuel prices have continued to hit Australia's trucking industry despite the government's fuel excise cut last week in the Federal budget.

Western Roads Federation CEO Cam Dumesney told 6PR Breakfast that his recent haul through the Nullarbor Roadhouse left him filling up at $2.95 per litre.

Mr Dumesney says that although the excise is helping everyday Australians, the country's backbone is still being affected by the high fuel prices.
