Retired Perth firefighter Andrew Wallace joined Millsy & Karl on 6PR Breakfast to recall taking leave after the 2001 terrorist attacks to travel to New York and volunteer alongside his American counterparts. 

Over six weeks at Ground Zero, Wallace worked with search and rescue teams in the rubble, forming lasting bonds while confronting unimaginable horror that still impacts him decades later.
